i want to be able to find new bands from my area easily because it blags searching through myspace and websites of the sort. we need a bit of band love people!
Also , because im terrible at this sort of thing i always find old music or bands. So im pretty much behind on music which isn't good at all. Or i tend up writing about stuff that is already on tv , i wanna be a beacon of new tunes haha.
so , i will try my hardest eh?

Know Your Enemy - Greenday
The waiting for Greenday's triumphant comeback has been a long one. It has been years since American Idiot was emanciapated genius but the new single " know your enemy" is thoroughly dissapointing.
I can't exactly describe what i dislike about it. It's the fact that it's too repititive , cheesy and isn't quite as good as their previous stuff.

The lyrics aren't all that cop either to be honest, and generally i just hope the new album is a lot better than this. This is nothing to the likes of Basket Case, American idiot and Jesus of Surburbia.
On a nicer note , it should be good seeing them in october!

Mind games of a love minefield.

You Me At Six - Finders Keepers
You Me At Six had a hidden trick up their money-lined sleeves , a super secret single which was first aired on jo whileys radio show.
My first impression of Finders Keepers , was that it was too groomed and it was the beginning of the sell out for YMA6 because it was too perfect. It was MADE for the radio , as the chorus was annoyingly catchy and the rift was too likeable.
Once i got past these first disarming thoughts and had listened to this a few more times, i found the beauty of the new song. I am really proud to hear YMA6 progress so well , they were amazing the first time and last time i saw them , and this progression showed in the likeability of the song.
The lyrics are pretty much about the favourite subject for josh franceschi , girls. He worrying about a girl who never learns from her mistakes and warning a friend about her.The lyric's which drew my attention the best were :
I wanna be your eyes; that you can’t see, what you’ve done
I wanna be your ears; that you can’t hear, everything that’s been missing.

Once again , the yma6 boys draw in more fans , these guys are on the way to total domination via screaming teenage fans and vast airplay.
